What brought me to ALC? I accidentally found this job and it still feels a bit unreal. David and I now joke because we had numerous conversations about how it would be next to impossible for me to find an HR role so close to home (my commute previously was 60-90 minutes each way), working for a good company on a progressive team, but here I am! I reached out to Pam on LinkedIn after running across the HR Generalist job description and sent the following message: Hi Pam, I hope you're having a great day! I'm putting together an HR generalist JD for my growing team at LRW. I'm using postings on LinkedIn to assist my process. I LOVED the "What our HR team is all About" opening paragraph. I saw that your company is in La Cañada, and I couldn't help but apply. :) Jeremy and I had a call the following morning, I soon talked to Carrie and then interviewed with the team in person that Friday. I was very candid with Pam, and I immediately trusted her. Even before an offer was extended, my instincts and this odd calmness told me ALC was where I was supposed to be. I picked up my daughter from daycare, and drove to Century City to speak with my boss about this potential opportunity. Ellie slept on my lap, while I resigned from LRW. On Valentine’s Day, I accepted the position at ALC. Everyone I have met here has been so welcoming and kind. I consider myself very fortunate to be able to learn more about the culture and all the great work that you do each day. My biggest hope is that I’ll be able to help you all enjoy this thing we call work just a little bit more than you already do, and feel well in the process! David and I live in Montrose with our son Christian (5), daughter Ellie (19 months) and dog Jakey.
